Mir and Nesvizh castles tour

If you have only a few days to spend in Belarus, we highly recommend not trying to do too much, and instead basing yourself in Belarus’s wonderful medieval castles and manors. The Nesvizh and Mir tour will introduce you to the top Belarus tourist attractions — the monuments of architecture in Belarus included in UNESCO World Heritage List.

Mir Castle

Belorussians, Polish, Jewish, Tatars, Gypsies always lived in chime in the small town Mir which is known more than six centuries. Orthodox and Catholic churches, the buildings of former yeshiva and synagogue, the houses of Mir citizens are included in the architectural ensemble of the former Market Square (today the Squire of the 17th of September).

Mir castle is a great example of defense architecture. The exposition of the museum tells us about the history of the castle, about the manners and life of its owners – Ilinichy, Radzivill, Svetopolk- Mirsky, about the historical events. Medieval festivals, tournaments and markets are held near the walls of Mir Castle.

Nesvizh Palace

During the excursion to Nesvizh you’ll get acquainted with the amazing city which for four centuries has become a family home of the richest and powerful dynasty in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania – Radziwill.

You’ll walk on the former Market Squire; see the oldest City Hall in Belarus, The Catholic Church of God’s Body. This is the first building in baroque style on East Slavic lands; it is included in every text-book and encyclopedia on architecture. This is the only in the West Europe necropolis of a family name which stands alongside with the famous Habsburg crypt in Vienna and the Spanish El Escorial of Philip II. Luxury Radzivil palace of the XVI century, extant Slutsk Brama of XVII century, elegant park of the XIX century are only part of the list of masterpieces which you’ll see while visiting a city-museum Nesvizh, the cultural capital of Belarus in 2012.

The Itinerary of Nesvizh Palace and Mir Castle Tour

Our driver will be waiting for you at your hotel or any address in Minsk prior for 10 minutes before departure time. You will be picked up by an air-conditioned vehicle which will take on a journey through the streets of Minsk. For the most comfortable trip, our driver will offer you bottled water and free WiFi. Usually, we start from Nesvizh Palace.

After about 1 hour 50 minutes you will arrive to Nesvizh. On the way to Nesvizh, we will organize for you an unforgettable experience of getting water from a well in the village. Our driver will bring you to the entrance of Nesvizh Palace and take you to the tour desk to buy an entrance ticket and audio guide (available in English, German, French, Chinese) if you like. Waiting time included in the price is 2,5 hours.

Mir Castle is located about 30 km away from Nesvizh. But probably you are hungry. Well, it is time for lunch. You will visit a nice cafe in Mir and taste a traditional Belarusian cuisine. Then our driver will bring you to the entrance of Mir Castle complex and take you to the tour desk to buy an entrance ticket and audio guide (available in English, Germany, Chinese) if you like. Waiting time included in the price is 1,5 hours.

Having finished the tour and filled with emotions, you can go back to Minsk. The trip back to Minsk will take approximately 1,5 hour.

Tour price

The cost for an individual tour is €120 (price for the whole group 1-4 pax, not per person). The tour prices does not cover guide service and entrance fees.

The cost for a shared tour is €60 per a person for a group of 2 pax, €40 per a person for a group of 3 pax,  €30 per a person for a group of 4 pax, Even if you do not reach the maximum number of passengers, the rate will stay the same as your booking for the day excursion.
